on march 29th, 2000 i got my ham radio
licence. the first four years of my life a an amateur radio operator i
was only allowed to transmit on vhf/uhf.
in february 2004 there was a change in the austrian law, so from this
time on i was permitted to
be qrv on the hf-bands also.
most of the time i am active on the
20 meter-band. there i enjoy the digital modes, but also some ssb.
due to
limited antenna-permission, i only have a small monoband-antenna for
14 mhz on the roof of the house.
that is the reason why i built a
portable hamradio-box in january 2007. i got some
inspirations
for that construction
here.
all the
needed material was bought at the local diy-store and did not
cost a fortune.

the vhf/uhf-bands are not my favorite ones, there i am mostly active in aprs.
the microphone of my vhf-equipment
is used only during sota-activations or when i hear a sota-station calling cq.
this is my newest qsl-card:

here are some of my older qsl-cards:

this is my small amateur radio equipment. i hope it will
increase in the future :-)
